I’m sorry to inform you that when I write up games I try to limit my coverage to events that have some effect on the outcome of the game. If they don’t do anything outstanding or score, they’re not going to get mentioned, just like baseball, football, basketball, etc.

Regarding Guillermo Steta, he was asked to join the team (that is being sponsored by Beau Van Metre) for that game, and is not in any way a sponsor of the team. This is not a cumbia moment for everyone to get credit for participating. If you want real coverage of the sport, this is what you get. If you want to have everyone get credit for “participating”, then you’re going to have to look for another source of reporting.

To bad that Tom Sikes and Guillermo Steta do not even get a mention about being on the field or sponsoring or at least showing up for the game and participating. Hum makes one wonder how important this game is without them.
